Mr. Mallett and his wife Linda retired to The Woods Resort in 2000 after careers at Cornell University. Mr. Mallett is currently a member of the Woods Homeowners Association and has been active in both the Woods Men’s Golf Association and the Thursday Men’s Golf League. Mr. Mallett’s life work and career has been spent in secondary and higher education as a teacher, coach, assistant professor, fund raiser and administrator. After leaving coaching at Cornell University, Mr. Mallett continued with Cornell’s Department of Development and Public Affairs. As one of Cornell’s seven regional directors, he covered 15 states and managed the activities of an alumni base of 28,000 in the North Central Region working with and through 700 alumni volunteers in support of the following Cornell activities: Cornell clubs, annual fund raising, alumni admissions network, and a capital campaign. Mr. Mallett then became Director of Athletic Public Affairs and Associate Director of Athletics. He led the Athletic Departments annual and capital fund raising efforts before retiring from Cornell University in 1990. Mr. Mallett established Mallett and Associates, Inc., in 1991, a consulting company which dealt in golf course valuation, golf course operations, and fund raising. Mr. Mallett was the Executive Director of the Robert Trent Jones Foundation from its inception in 1987 to its dissolution in 1992. The Foundation was dissolved when Mr. Jones’ health failed before the Foundation was fully funded. Mr. Mallett has been a member of the HHS Track and Soccer Complex’s Executive Committee since 2004. Mr. Mallett is currently President of the Eagle Promise Charitable Fund, Inc. Mr. Mallett has two degrees from Ohio University: BSED and MSED. Past and Present Affiliations: President of the Eagle Promise Charitable Fund, Member of the Executive Committee of the HHS Track and Soccer Committee, Board member of the Woods Homeowners Association (WHOA), Woods Men’s Golf Association, Thursday Men’s Golf League, Cornell Football Association’s Board of Directors, American Football Coaches Association, and Executive Director of the Robert Trent Jones Foundation.

Economics from West Liberty State College; MBA from Wheeling Jesuit University; 21 years with BB&T; currently Senior Vice President/City Executive for Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia; Past and Present Affiliations: Vice-President/Secretary – Eagle Promise Charitable Fund, The WVU East Hospital Gateway Foundation, Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Eastern Panhandle, The Roundhouse Authority, Make A Wish State Board, BB&T Advisory Board, The Art's Centre, Martinsburg-Berkeley County Chamber of Commerce, United Way of the Eastern Panhandle. Son John (J.J.) is currently a student at WVU.
B.S. Management Information Systems from Kennedy-Western University; Information Assurance Officer – Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) working for the Department of Defense; Past and Present Affiliations: Treasurer – Eagle Promise Charitable Fund, President of Hedgesville High School Athletic Boosters, Coach – Berkeley County Youth Soccer, Retired – U.S. Army (20 years), parent of a daughter (Nicole) and son (Nick) who attended HHS and were involved in HHS athletics.
B.S. Degree in Business Administration from Fairmont State University; 26 years with Smallwood and Small Insurance, currently Senior Vice-President / Treasurer / Partner; Certified Insurance Counselor, member of The Society of Certified Insurance Counselors; Accredited Advisor in Insurance – Insurance Institute of America. Past and Present Affiliations: Director – Eagle Promise Charitable Fund, Board of Directors and State Education Chairman for The Professional Insurance Agents of WV, Erie Insurance Group’s Agents Advisory Board, Faculty Instructor-The Erie Insurance Agents Education Exchange, member Rotary Club, Martinsburg Jaycees, National Association of Life Underwriters, Martinsburg-Berkeley County Chamber of Commerce, Eastern Panhandle Mountaineer Athletic Club – 1100 Club member, Cornell Football Association (Board of Directors – parent representative, Assistant Football Coach/ Defensive Coordinator Martinsburg Youth Football League. Parent of three children, one of which graduated in 2004 as a three sport athlete at Hedgesville High School, currently a student-athlete at Cornell University.
