Eagle Promise Charitable Fund
The Eagle Promise Charitable Fund is recognized by the IRS as a 501 (c) (3) Charitable Fund. As a Charitable Fund the EPCF welcomes gifts and grants supporting its annual activities. When making a gift to the Eagle Promise Charitable Fund it can be in the name of the individual(s), corporation, and / or foundation or it can be made honoring others. Below you will find the various ways to make a gift and support the Eagle Promise Charitable Fund (EPCF). They include the following: our annual fund raising golf tournament, the Eagle Promise Golf Outing; its support of specific projects annually; supporting scholarship opportunities for former Hedgesville High School student-athletes attending college; and endowment opportunities that create the foundation upon which the EPCF can build lasting financial strength and ensure its mission to the Hedgesville School District for the future.

Eagle Promise Golf Outing
The Eagle Promise Golf Outing (EPGO) is an annual event and is the Eagle Promise Charitable Fund’s annual fund raiser. Net proceeds from the EPGO will be applied to the special project that the EPCF Board of Directors has selected to support each year. The charitable outcome from this and future golf outings will be to provide funding for specific projects in the Hedgesville School System that have been identified by the Eagle Promise Charitable Fund Board of Directors. Going forward the EPCF/EPGO will support annually, with net funds generated at the end of each fiscal year, the following areas: (1). 30% of the funds will be allocated and added to the existing principle of the EPCF Endowed Scholarship Fund; and (2). 70% of funds will be allocated to support special projects in the community and supporting coaching camp days for youth in Berkeley County.

Unrestricted Gift to EPCF
Your gift can address ever-changing community needs, including future needs that often cannot be anticipated at the time your gift is made. The EPCF Board of Directors constantly evaluates all aspects of community in executing both its current and future mission. The flexibility of your unrestricted gift enables EPCF Board of Directors to respond to the EPCF most pressing needs, today and tomorrow.

EPCF Scholarships Programs

EPCF Endowed Scholarship
The Eagle Promise Charitable Fund’s Endowed Scholarship is an endowed scholarship fund sponsored by the EPCF. The Eagle Promise Charitable Fund will raise and accumulate monies to be applied to its Endowed Scholarship Fund. Once a minimum balance of $5000 has been accumulated in this Fund the EPCF will place the monies in an endowed managed fund and will award its first scholarship with the income generated annually from its endowed scholarship fund. The EPCF Endowed Scholarship Fund will be a post-graduate scholarship that will be awarded on an annual basis to HHS student-athletes. As additional increments of $5000 have been accumulated to the EPCF Scholarship Endowed Scholarship Fund the EPCF Board of Directors will add another endowed scholarship to be awarded also on an annual basis.

EPCF Named Scholarship Fund
The EPCF Named Scholarship Fund(s) scholarship offerings will be individually named post-graduate scholarship awards funded in at least $5000 increments established and named for individuals, companies, and corporations. Each individually named scholarship fund will be invested in its own endowment fund. As with the EPCF Endowed Scholarship Fund the EPCF Named Scholarship Fund(s) will be awarded as a post-graduate scholarship on an annual basis to HHS student-athletes. Eagle Promise Charitable Fund Endowment Fund(s)

Eagle Promise Charitable Fund (EPCF) Endowment Fund for Special Projects
Gifts made to the Eagle Promise Charitable Fund’s Endowment Fund for Special Projects are placed in the Endowment Fund for Special Projects. Any gift size can be applied to the EPCF Endowment Fund for Special Projects. The fund is invested so that annual commitments toward our special project being undertaken that year can be funded with a portion of the dividends and interest earned on an annual basis. The Track and Soccer Complex is the current special project identified by the EPCF Board of Directors. The remaining portion is reinvested, enabling the endowment fund to grow to offset inflation and rising costs.

Each EPCF Named Endowment Fund for Special Projects is placed in the Endowment Fund for Special Projects.
